About Caliber.

Senior marketing leadership that stays close to the work.

Caliber was built for companies that need more than advice and more than disconnected production. Grant Richards leads the strategy, owns the relationship, and works with a trusted specialist bench to turn priorities into functioning marketing and growth systems.

Why Caliber exists.

Closing an awkward gap.

Growing companies need senior marketing judgment, but they may not be ready for a full-time executive. They need specialized execution, but they do not want six vendors moving in different directions. They need a clear plan, but they also need someone willing to build.

Caliber closes that gap. The firm combines executive-level marketing leadership with direct implementation across positioning, websites, demand generation, content, CRM, automation, sales enablement, social, events, and analytics. The goal is not more marketing for its own sake. It is a clearer system that supports the business.

Meet Grant Richards.

Grant Richards has spent more than a decade doing the job he now does for clients: building a marketing function inside a company that needs one, then running it.

Most of that work has been in categories where the product is hard to explain and the buyer is skeptical. He has led marketing as an executive at a venture-backed AI legal technology company, where he built the function from nothing, and before that moved through a progression of senior marketing and demand generation roles at a publicly traded AI data services company, reporting into the chief executive and chief revenue officers. Across those roles the work covered positioning, demand generation, content, SEO, paid media, events, PR, CRM and marketing operations, sales enablement, executive and board reporting, and hiring.

He started Caliber because of a pattern he kept seeing from the inside. Companies buy strategy from one firm and execution from another, then spend the next year translating between them. The plan reads well, the work does not match it, and no one owns the difference.

Caliber is the correction. Grant sets the strategy, stays on the account, and builds alongside a small bench of specialists he has worked with for years. The person who understands the business is the person reviewing the work.

The model.

The person defining the strategy stays involved.

Many firms separate the people selling the work, planning the work, managing the account, and delivering the work. Caliber is intentionally different.

Grant remains accountable for:

  • Understanding the business.
  • Setting priorities.
  • Defining the strategy.
  • Leading the relationship.
  • Connecting the work across disciplines.
  • Reviewing quality.
  • Helping leadership make decisions.
  • Keeping execution tied to the commercial objective.
The bench.

A trusted specialist model.

Caliber can coordinate the right capabilities around the engagement, including:

  • Brand and graphic design.
  • Website design and development.
  • Copy and content.
  • Paid media.
  • Social media.
  • Video editing and production.
  • CRM and marketing operations.
  • Automation and AI systems.
  • Analytics and reporting.

This model gives clients focused capability without unnecessary layers or a one-size-fits-all team.

Principles.

How Caliber operates.

Precision over noise.

Do the work that matters, in the right order, for a clear business reason.

Clarity over complexity.

Make strong expertise easier to understand, evaluate, and buy.

Performance over vanity.

Focus on meaningful demand, conversion, pipeline movement, visibility, and operating leverage.

Strategy that gets built.

Turn the plan into real assets, systems, programs, and habits.

Accountability over layers.

Keep senior ownership close to the decisions and the work.

Experience.

Across different stages and industries.

Caliber's work and Grant's broader experience span:

  • Artificial intelligence and enterprise technology.
  • Legal technology and patent intelligence.
  • Software development and consulting.
  • Mortgage lending and financial services.
  • Real estate.
  • Environmental services.
  • Luxury hospitality and retail consulting.
  • Professional services.
  • Data and managed services.
  • Owner-led and local businesses.

The common thread is not the industry. It is the need to make expertise clearer, growth more connected, and marketing more accountable.
